Reggie Bush - New Orleans Saints
 Reggie
Bush has become a fan favorite in the NFL, and he has impacted
his team's success. The 2005 Heisman Trophy winner has adapted
to the NFL as a fast, all-purpose back. Bush can run with
the ball, but he made his biggest impact receiving and on
special teams. Reggie Bush was an integral part in the New
Orleans Saints going 10-6 and making it to their first ever
NFC Championship game.
Reggie Bush carried the football 155 times for 565 yards.
While this did not give Bush the greatest yards-per-carry
average, he still scored 6 rushing touchdowns. The most
impressive feat of Bush's season was his receiving numbers:
he pulled in 88 receptions for 742 yards and 2 receiving
touchdowns. So, overall, Bush's season was very productive.
Reggie Bush had some big moments in the 2006 season and
postseason. Bush recorded 168 combined rushing and receiving
yards and scored 4 touchdowns against the 49ers in week
13. Bush also scored a touchdown in each of the Saints'
two postseason games. He had over 100 yards receiving in
the NFC Championship, but his team fell short to the Chicago
Bears
Reggie Bush appears to have a bright future in the NFL.
Right now, he is a complement to Deuce McCallister in the
Saints' backfield. McCallister provides the muscle and grit
while Reggie Bush is more of a Dave Meggett or Eric Metcalf-like
running back, relying on his speed and his hands more. Ultimately,
Bush is part of a dangerous running back tandem and an overall
dangerous Saint offense. He has big play ability and should
be utilized even more in his second NFL season.
