Randy Moss - New England Patriots
Randy
Moss is one of the NFL's biggest names at wide receiver.
His long and lanky build combined with impressive speed
and jumping skills make Randy Moss one of the most difficult
receivers to cover in the league. Randy Moss has 101 career
touchdowns and has a career average of 15.8 yards per catch.
Moss had 42 receptions for 553 yards and three touchdowns
in the 2006 season for the Oakland Raiders. His best game
last year was against the Arizona Cardinals where he gained
122 yards on 7 receptions, one of those catches being a
touchdown.
Randy Moss is a nine-year NFL veteran. Moss has played
for the Oakland Raiders, the Minnesota Vikings, and will
debut as a New England Patriot in 2007. In the 1998 season,
Moss broke into the league with an amazing rookie year where
he recorded 17 touchdown catches for the Minnesota Vikings.
He did not look like the typical rookie wide receiver. Moss's
most impressive numbers came in the 2003 season where he
made 111 receptions for 1632 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Randy Moss has gained over 1,000 yards receiving in seven
of his nine NFL seasons and has scored at least 10 touchdowns
in six of those seasons. It might be fair to put a disclaimer
next to those stats and consider that Randy Moss played
his last two seasons with a very dismal Oakland Raiders
team.
Randy Moss will join the high-powered New England Patriots
this season. Some critics question the work ethic of Randy
Moss. Moss has said himself that he only plays hard when
he wants to do so. Say what you will about that, but Moss's
numbers show that he is a threat. Having Tom Brady throwing
him the ball will be of much greater impact to his numbers
as opposed to last year where he played under three different
quarterbacks who had a combined quarterback rating of 56.2.
Moss will play harder and better as a member of a great
team and the hope of winning a Super Bowl ring.
