Dunta Robinson - Houston Texans

Robinson has been an outstanding cornerback in his first
three seasons with the Houston Texans. The Texans drafted
the University of South Carolina's Dunta Robinson as the
10th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft. Robinson is quite
the tackler and has been helpful to the Texans' defense
in creating takeaways.
Dunta Robinson had a remarkable rookie season (2004). Robinson
amassed 76 tackles, sacked the quarterback 3 times, and
picked off six passes. In 2006, Robinson made 70 tackles,
forced a fumble, and intercepted two passes. He returned
one of those interceptions for a nine-yard touchdown.
Dunta Robinson and Mario Williams are the future of the
Houston Texans defense. Robinson's development has been
impressive, but he would still like to become more of a
shut-down corner back. Texans' coach, Gary Kubiak, would
like to see the Texans defense come to life in 2007, and
Robinson is a very important factor to the success of that
quest. The expectations of the offense with a new quarterback
are high, and a successful offense will contribute greatly
to the success and morale of the defense.
